Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw introduced a new initiative called AIKosha, On the occasion of the first anniversary of the IndiaAI Mission.
“An all-in-one platform designed to boost access to artificial intelligence (AI). This platform along with several other projects is part of the government’s efforts to make AI more accessible across the country.”
What is AIKosha?
AIKosha-AIकोष is a comprehensive dataset platform aimed at simplifying access to AI resources. It is a key component of the India-AI Mission which is backed by a substantial budget of Rs 10,370 crore.
The platform will serve as a one-stop hub for datasets, tools and AI models to make it easier for researchers, developers and businesses to find the resources they need to build and enhance AI applications.

Role of AIKosha in the IndiaAI Mission
The IndiaAI Mission consists of seven main pillars with AIKosha-AIकोष being one of the most significant.
Its goal is to encourage the use of AI by providing a centralized location where users can access a variety of resources related to AI development. By offering a unified portal AIKosha-AIकोष eliminates the need to search through multiple sources for datasets, tools and models which can often be time-consuming and complicated.
