Indian Navy SSR Medical Assistant Recruitment 2024
For the November 2024 batch, the Indian Navy is accepting applications for the position of Senior Secondary Recruit (SSR) in the Medical Branch (Medical Assistant for single male applicants). Candidates who fulfills the age and physical requirements must have finished their 10+2 studies in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Those interested must submit an application by September 17, 2024. The academic performance-based shortlisting phase of the selection process is followed by a written, medical, and physical fitness exam. Selected applicants will get their training at INS Chilka, where they will get both professional and basic instruction.

Indian Navy SSR Medical Assistant Recruitment 2024 | Eligibility Criteria
- Education Qualification
(i). Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) in 10+2.
(ii). A minimum of 40% in each topic and 50% overall.
(iii). Maximum Age: Between November 1, 2003, and April 30, 2007.
- Payout with Allowances
(i). Monthly: ₹14,600 during training.
(ii). Level 3 of the Defence Pay Matrix: (₹21,700 – ₹69,100) is the pay scale after training.
(iii). Monthly Marine Service Pay (MSP) of ₹5,200 + applicable Dearness Allowance (DA).

From September 7, 2024, until September 17, 2024, interested and qualified people may apply online at joinindiannavy.gov.in.
Fill up and submit the online application after registering with an active email address and mobile number.
Ensure that the information is accurate and that all the required documents have been scanned and uploaded.
Indian Navy SSR Medical Assistant Recruitment Notification 2024 | Selection Procedure
The following steps are part of the selection process for the SSR (Medical Assistant) 02/2024 cohort.
- Shortlist: A state-specific cut-off applies, based on 10+2 PCB marks.
- Phase II: Examination consists of a written exam, a recruitment medical test, and a physical fitness test (PFT).
- Merit List: Based on Stage II performance, medical fitness is taken into effect.
- Medical Appeal: Candidates who do not qualify may file an appeal within five days.
- Final Result: Based on Medical Fitness, PFT Results, and Merit List.
