About PM AASHA Scheme

The Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay Sanrakshan Abhiyan (PM AASHA) is an initiative of the Indian government aimed to control fluctuation in prices for consumers and ensure fair pricing for farmers.

Private Procurement & Stockiest program (PPPS), Price Support Scheme (PSS), Price Deficiency Payment Scheme (PDPS), Price Stabilization Fund (PSF), and Market Intervention Scheme (MIS) are the components of the initiative which was announced in September 2018.


In Short:


With an economic commitment of Rs 35,000 crore, the program was recently extended until the fiscal year 2025–2026.

The continuance of the PM AASHA Scheme has been authorized by the Union Cabinet. The Price Deficit Payment Scheme (PDPS), Market Intervention Scheme (MIS), PSS, and PSF will now be included.
