Emergency mock drill on 7th May 2025

In view of the escalating tension with Pakistan the Home Ministry has directed all Indian states to conduct an emergency mock drill on 7th May 2025. The action comes after the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam on 22nd April 2025 in which 26 innocent people were killed. The government is currently focusing on staying alert and being prepared for any impending threat.

These drills basically help local people, students and officials learn how to stay safe in case of a hostile event such as an air attack.

The instructions were shared after a series of high-level meetings led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Discussions included top military and defence experts.

A terrible terrorist attack occurred in Pahalgam a town in Jammu and Kashmir On 22th April 2025. In this attack total 26 innocent people lost their lives. This heartbreaking event has caused more tension along the India and Pakistan border. There have been reports of gunfire and explosions in various areas along the Line of Control (LOC) is growing concerns in the region.

In response to this our Prime Minister Modi has said that those behind the attack and those who supported the planning will not be spared. Security forces have been put on high alert especially in border states.
