Employee Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) अब PF (Provident Fund) salary limit Rs. 15,000 से बढ़ाकर Rs. 25,000 per month करने पर विचार कर रहा है।
ये कदम उन Workers के लिए बहुत Beneficial होगा जो High cost of living वाले शहरों में काम करते हैं।
EPFO का ये कदम सिर्फ एक Policy Change नहीं बल्कि Millions of Employees के लिए Financial safety net को मजबूत करने की दिशा में बड़ा कदम है। Changing salary patterns के साथ साथ ये move हर working individual के लिए stability और savings दोनों बढ़ाएगा।
Reason to Increase PF Salary Limit
Current time में EPF और EPS contribution के लिए Salary limit Rs. 15,000 है जो 2014 से unchanged है इस बीच Urban areas में Average salary काफी बढ़ चुकी है इसी वजह से EPFO अब Eligibility limit को Real Salary Levels के According अपडेट करना चाहता है।
सरकारी reports के मुताबिक Central Board of Trustees की अगली Meeting में इस proposal पर final discussion होगा जो December या January में हो सकता है।

PF Salary Limit Increased to 25000 Rupees | Benefits
EPFO के rules के हिसाब से employer और employee दोनों मिलकर Basic salary का 12% PF में Contribute करते हैं। Employee का पूरा 12% EPF में जाता है
जबकि employer का हिस्सा दो भागों में बंटता है-
- 8.33% EPS (Employee Pension Scheme) में
- 3.67% EPF (Provident Fund) में
For Example-
अगर salary limit Rs. 15,000 है तो total PF contribution 12% के हिसाब से Rs. 1,800 होता है। लेकिन अगर ये limit Rs. 25,000 हो जाती है तो वही contribution Rs. 3,000 तक पहुंच जाएगा।
यानी हर महीने employee के PF और Pension fund में Rs. 1,200 extra जमा होंगे।
Long term में इसका सीधा मतलब है – बड़ी बचत, मजबूत पेंशन और बेहतर financial security.

EPFO के पास अभी करीब 7.6 करोड़ active members हैं और यह लगभग Rs. 26 लाख करोड़ के funds को manage करता है। Salary limit बढ़ने से EPFO का corpus और बड़ा होगा निम्न फायदे होंगे

Long standing demand of labor unions
कई Trade unions और employees associations पिछले कई सालों से demand कर रहे थे कि Rs. 15,000 की limit अब outdated हो चुकी है।
आज के urban industrial hubs में average salary इससे कहीं ज्यादा है इसलिए EPFO का ये step बहुत logical और timely माना जा रहा है।
When is the final decision expected?
EPFO का Central Board of Trustees इस proposal पर जल्द meeting करेगा अगर approval मिल जाता है तो नया rule 2025 की शुरुआत में लागू हो सकता है।
Experts का मानना है कि ये decision employees के social security framework को और मजबूत बनाएगा।
Employees may resist change
संभावना है कि कुछ Employee इस नए Rule से असहमत हों विशेष रूप से वे जिनकी Salary कम या middle class में आती है ऐसा इसलिए क्योंकि EPF की सीमा बढ़ने पर उनकी Salary का बड़ा हिस्सा PF में जमा होगा।
नतीजतन, उनकी हाथ में आने वाली In Hand Salary घट जाएगी।
Experts का कहना है कि भले ही यह कदम लंबे समय में Employees के लिए beneficial साबित हो सकता है लेकिन तत्काल खर्च के लिए अधिक नकद राशि चाहने वाले Employees को यह बदलाव उतना पसंद नहीं आएगा।
