90 Assembly seats in Jammu and Kashmir
The third list of candidates for the second and third phases of the approaching three-phase election for 90 Assembly seats in Jammu and Kashmir was released by the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday, August 24, 2024.
Ten candidates for the second round of the J&K elections and nineteen for the third round were announced by the BJP.

Ashok Bhat of Habbakadal, Mohammad Akram Choudhary of Gulabgarh, Kuldeep Raj Dubey of Reasi, Baldev Raj Sharma of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, and Thakur Randhir Singh of Kalakote-Sunderbani are the candidates officially announced by the party.
Senior BJP officials including former Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh and former ministers Sham Lal Choudhary, Priya Sethi, and Sat Paul Sharma have been dropped out.

Jammu and Kashmir Polls 2024 | High Level about all Phases
Three phases—September 18, September 25, and October 1 will comprise the elections in Jammu & Kashmir. The election is scheduled for October 4 and will be the first after Article 370 was quashed.
For the assembly seats in the Kashmir valley where it is not standing candidates, the BJP has declared that it will support strong independent candidates instead of forming alliances with any other party in the Jammu and Kashmir elections.
