New Interface & Features | OnePlus OxygenOS 16

OnePlus OxygenOS 16 introduces several improvements to design, performance, and artificial intelligence. Some of the key features are:
(i). Plus Mind & Mind Space
A new system called Plus Mind organises content into a dedicated space named Mind Space. uses include:
- Access via a three finger swipe or dedicated ‘Plus Key’ (on devices that support it).
- Automatic detection of dates or event details from images or messages with suggestions to add calendar entries.
- Customisable shortcuts: the Plus Key (or gesture) can link to functions like camera, torch, voice recorder or sound modes.
- Tools such as long screenshots and automatic note suggestions help keep things managed and organised.
(ii). Google Gemini Integration
This update deeply integrates AI into the interface. Using content stored in Mind Space, the system provides context-aware suggestions. For example –
- Saved an image of a home decor idea? Gemini may suggest a full living room setup based on it.
- The phone no longer only reacts ; it actively assists.
(iii). Apple Watch support
For the first time on this platform, pairing with Apple Watch is supported. This allows OnePlus device users to connect across ecosystems and take advantage of notification sync and other features.
The upcoming OnePlus 15 series will come pre installed with this support.
