Asia के Products पर बढ़ा दबाव, Global Trade में नई हलचल, Slaps 50% Tariffs On Indian Trade

Global market में एक नई trade war जैसी situation बनती दिख रही है। America के बाद अब Mexico ने भी India, China और कई Asian देशों से आने वाले products पर भारी Import tariff बढ़ाने का बड़ा फैसला ले लिया।

Mexico की Senate ने लगभग 50% तक बढ़े हुए टैरिफ को मंजूरी दे कर ये साफ दिखा दिया कि स्थानीय industries को बचाने के लिए सख्त कदम उठाने में हिचक नहीं रखी जाएगी।

नया Tariff system 2025 से लागू होने जा रहा है जबकि कई Domestic Trade Groups और Asian देशों ने इस फैसले पर आपत्ति जताई थी।

दिलचस्प ये भी है कि ये फैसला उस समय आया है जब Mexico जल्द ही USMCA review में हिस्सा लेने वाला है जहां North America trade rules पर बड़े निर्णय लिए जाएंगे।

किन products पर पड़ेगा सबसे ज्यादा Impact Mexico Tariff War का

Mexico के नए नियमों के बाद कुछ खास product categories पर सबसे भारी असर दिखेगा।

Mexican Government ने साफ कर दिया कि जो sectors Mexico के domestic industries के साथ सीधी competition में हैं उन पर ज्यादा duty लगाई जाएगी जैसे –

• Automobiles और Auto Parts: लगभग 50% तक tariff

• Textile products: भारी बढ़ोतरी

• Plastic items: import cost बढ़ेगी

• Steel और metal categories: 50% duty तक

• General items: लगभग 35% tariff

Mexican Government का अनुमान है कि इस नए Import duty structure से अगला financial year लगभग 3.76 billion USD तक अतिरिक्त revenue ला सकता है।

Mexico ये revenue अपने बढ़ते fiscal deficit को balance करने और घरेलू industries को boost देने में इस्तेमाल करना चाहता है।

 

India–Mexico Trade Relations: आगे क्या?

पिछले कुछ सालों में India और Mexico का trade काफी तेजी से बढ़ा है।

2020 में जहां total trade करीब 4.25 billion USD था वहीं 2024 में सिर्फ India का export लगभग 9 billion USD के पास पहुंच चुका है।

इसके मुकाबले Mexico से आने वाला import घटकर 2.74 billion USD रह गया है जिससे India को अच्छा खासा Trade Surplus मिल रहा है।

Mexico में Indian products की demand लगातार बढ़ रही थी खासकर –

• Motorcycles और Two-wheelers

• Machinery & industrial equipment

• Electrical goods

• Organic chemicals
• Pharmaceutical products

अब बढ़े हुए tariff का सीधा असर इन categories पर पड़ेगा। यानी Import cost बढ़ने से कई Indian products Mexico market में महंगे पड़ सकते हैं जिससे उनकी demand पर भी फर्क दिख सकता है।

 

Indian Companies के लिए नई Challenge

Mexico, Indian Automotive और Two wheeler industry के लिए एक तेजी से बढ़ता Export Hub बन चुका था कई Indian कंपनियां अपनी motorcycles, scooters और तीन पहिया vehicles को बड़े scale पर Mexico में बेच रही थीं लेकिन अब 50% तक import duty बढ़ने से competition काफी tough होने वाला है।

कुछ संभावित challenges भी जान लेते हैं

• Products की कीमत बढ़ने से Mexico market में demand कम हो सकती है।

• Local Mexican manufacturers के products को ज्यादा advantage मिलेगा।

• Existing distributors और dealers के margins प्रभावित हो सकते हैं।

क्या Indian Companies के पास solutions हैं?

Experts का मानना है कि ये Setback Permanent नहीं है कई companies इस challenge को opportunity में बदल सकती है बस strategies smart होनी चाहिए कुछ संभावित models जिनसे रास्ता निकल सकता है जैसे

• Local partnerships: के जरिए assembly plants शुरू करना

• Knockdown kits: (CKD/SKD) mode में export करना, जिससे duty कम लगती है

• Joint ventures: के जरिए production cost कम करना

• Product redesign: ताकि Mexico tariff slabs में कम duty category मिले

Global trade में अक्सर ऐसे tariff changes temporary रहते हैं क्योंकि market pressure, diplomacy और Bilateral deals धीरे-धीरे नए मार्ग बना देते हैं।

India–Mexico trade भी आने वाले समय में नए रूप में उभर सकता है।

Mexico का यह decision पूरी Asia region के लिए एक बड़ा संकेत है कि global trade का landscape फिर बदल रहा है।

Mexico tariff hike से Short term में Indian products को challenge मिलेगा लेकिन Long term में smart strategies और local partnerships इस situation को balance कर सकती हैं।

आने वाले महीनों में USMCA review और नए trade discussions यह तय करेंगे कि Mexico का ये tariff war कितना लंबा चलता है और इसका Asia पर कितना गहरा प्रभाव पड़ता है।

सोचने वाली बात ये है की क्या भारत अब भी अपने पुराने हिसाब से चलेगा या भारतीय इंडस्ट्रीज के लिए नया मार्किट तलाश पायेगा या नहीं…
