About NHAI
The National Highways Authority of India known as NHAI is a government organisation created through an Act passed in the year 1988.
It started working in the year 1995 with the main aim of building and managing national highways across the country.
NHAI functions under the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. It plays a major role in planning and completing highway projects that improve road connectivity between cities, towns and states.
Apart from construction work, NHAI also looks after toll operations, road safety measures and greenery along highways. These activities help in smooth travel and long-term infrastructure development.

NHAI Technical Recruitment 2026
The National Highways Authority of India has announced a recruitment drive for the year 2026. Through this notification Total 40 posts of Deputy Manager (Technical) are to be filled. Selection will be done based on the GATE 2025 score in Civil Engineering.
Indian candidates who meet the required conditions can submit the online application on or before 09th-Feb-2026.
