Oil India Limited (OIL) is a central public sector undertaking engaged in the business of exploration, development and production of crude oil and natural gas, transportation of crude oil and production of liquid petroleum gas.

The central public sector undertaking is a Maharatna, with the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas overseeing its operations. Headquartered in Duliajan, Assam, the company has its offices in Duliajan, Noida, Guwahati and Jodhpur.

In Guwahati, Assam, Oil India Limited (OIL) is hiring mechanical engineers for their pipeline headquarters. This position requires shift work is temporary and could involve strenuous work in a distant area.

Candidates must satisfy the following requirements in order to be evaluated for the Contractual Mechanical Engineer post.

(i). Qualification: A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized college

(ii). Experience: Three years or more of relevant mechanical engineering experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry.

(iii). Age Limit: Maximum age: 65 years (as of the interview date).

(iv). Desired Skill Set: Candidates must to be familiar with mechanical systems and the procedures involved in maintaining and fixing them.
