As enrolled personnel, Navik (General Duty) perform a variety of tasks both onshore and on board ships. Candidates for said post under (GD) are given the opportunity to specialize after completing their basic training at INS Chilka.
What does refer to ICG Yantriks
Yantriks are responsible for operating and maintaining mechanical, electrical or aeronautical equipment and systems on board the Coast Guard vessels and aircraft.

Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024: Navik & Yantrik

Online applications for the both roles will be accepted by the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) beginning on June 13, 2024. Total 320 positions for both categories are up for grabs with this hiring campaign.
A fantastic chance to enlist in the prestigious ICG is offered to those who have finished their Class 12 education with Mathematics and Physics. Applications for these posts must be submitted by July 3, 2024, at the latest, from qualified and interested parties.

There are total 320 Vacancies available to be applied for
The recruitment drive includes 260 vacancies for Navik-(General Duty) and 60 vacancies for various Yantrik-posts, are categorized as Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronics.
Eligibility Criteria

(i). Navik: Candidates must have passed Class 12 Mathematics and Physics from an education board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) in order to be eligible for the General Duty post. Candidates must also be between the ages of 18 and 22, with the announcement allowing for a waiver of the maximum age limit.
(ii). Yantrik: Class 10th passed from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) and Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical / Electronics/ Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering of duration 03 or 04 years approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).

Class 10th & Class 12th passed from an education board recognized by Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) “AND” Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical / Electronics/ Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering of duration 02 or 03 years approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE)

Selection Process
Examination will be consist of three stages:
Stage I: Computer Based Examination
Document verification:
The identity of the candidates will be verified against the information provided in the online application. A valid original identity proof, a colored printout of the E-admit card, passport-sized colored photographs, an original category certificate and photocopies of the self-attested SC/ST certificate, an original train or bus ticket, a cancelled check leaf for NEFT payment, and a travel form are among the required documents for SC/ST applicants.
Point to be remembered: The candidature may be canceled if there are any inconsistencies between the information supplied in the online application and E-admit card and the identity proof that has been presented.
Stage II: Physical and Assessment/Adaptability Tests
Detailed document verification will be conducted as per rules mentioned in attached official notification.
Stage III: Medical Examination
Detailed medical examination will be conducted for qualified candidates from Stage II.
