Copilot Vision is an AI powered tool developed by Microsoft to assist users in real time by analysing and interacting with the content displayed on their Windows 10 and 11 devices.

This feature acts as a virtual assistant, providing contextual help and guidance as users navigate through various applications and tasks.

Privacy and Security Considerations

Microsoft emphasizes that Copilot Vision is designed with user privacy and security in mind. The feature works on an opt in basis which means users must give explicit permission to Copilot Vision to access their screen.

Additionally Microsoft ensures that no data obtained while using Copilot Vision is stored or used for further training of AI models. Once the conversation is over, any data is immediately deleted to protect user privacy.

Microsoft Copilot Vision | How to activate 

To enable Copilot Vision on Windows 10 or 11  follow these steps –

(i). Open the Copilot app on device.

(ii). Click on the glasses icon in the Copilot composer.

(iii). Select the browser window or application to share with Copilot Vision.

(iv). Ask Copilot Vision for assistance with the task user are working on.

(v). To stop sharing just click ‘Stop’ or ‘X’ in the composer.

Availability and Rollout Date

Copilot Vision is currently available free of charge to all users in the United States running Windows 10 and 11 versions. Microsoft plans to expand the feature to more non-European countries in the near future.

As part of the Copilot Labs program, users can access and test beta and unreleased features of Microsoft Copilot, including Copilot Vision.
