Release date of upcoming epic Ramayana directed by Nitesh Tiwari has been set, File Ramayana is Produced by Namit Malhotra.

Ramayana will be released in theaters in two parts. The first chapter will be released on Diwali in 2026 while the sequel will be released on the same holiday in 2027.

As confirmed by Superstar Yash that he is playing most exciting character of the demon King Ravan in this movie. Sai Pallavi as Sita and Ranbir Kapoor as Bhagwan Ram are also said to be in the movie.

A poster announcing the release dates was posted on social media by producer Namit.

Namit said, “More than ten years ago, I launched on a noble mission to bring this epic that has ruled billions of hearts for over 5000 years to the big screen.”

And I’m delighted to see it coming to life today as our teams put in countless hours with a single objective of showcasing to the world our most sincere, admired and visually pleasing depiction of our history, truth, and culture—our “RAMAYANA” : for all.

About Ramayana’s cast

According to the sources, Sai Pallavi will play Sita in the Ramayana, while Ranbir Kapoor will play Bhagwan Ram.

It has been revealed by Yash that he will be playing Ravan in the movie.

Sheeba Chaddha will play Manthara, Sunny Deol will play Hanuman, while Lara Dutta will play Kaikeyi.

Earlier this year, an image of Ranbir and Sai dressed in costumes that was leaked from the movie’s set went popular on social media.

From the past experience

On the other hand, KGF actor Yash already confirmed that he will be playing Ravana in the epic drama.

It’s a really fascinating persona. There is no other reason why I would have done it. If you had asked me if I would play any other role in the Ramayana, Probably not.

I think Ravana is the most interesting character to play as an actor, thus I appreciate all of the character’s subtleties and shadows.

There is a lot of room to convey it in several ways. I am frantic as an actress. He told The Hollywood Reporter India, “Hopefully, it’s going to be a very unique approach to it.”

Namit Malhotra:  CEO of Prime Focus Studio

In a social media post, Prime Focus Studios’ founder and global CEO, Namit Malhotra, said that the film will be released in two parts, one in 2026 and the second in 2027.

In addition to recent blockbusters like The Garfield Movie, Namit has worked on some of Hollywood’s biggest films such as Dune and Inception.

He additionally announced the release of Angry Birds 3. However, Nitesh is best known for directing the 2016 film Dangal which starred Aamir Khan, Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
