SGPGI | Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences
The Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, located on Lucknow-Raebareli Road southeast of the city, is a super-specialty teaching and training medical institution is about 12 km from the main (Charbagh) railway station, the Lucknow Airport, and the city center (Hazratganj).
Private buses (route 3) depart often from the train station and travel to the Institute. As an alternative, can reach to the Institute in a pre-paid autorickshaw or cab. Every ten to fifteen minutes, a free shuttle bus travels from the Institute’s main entrance to the hospital, which is situated approximately one kilometer away.
There are 276 ICU and 87 HDU beds among the Institute’s 1609 total beds. It features 39 surgery rooms with cutting edge equipment.
