About CDAC

Originally known as the Center for Development of Advanced Computing Technology (CDACT), CDAC was established in November 1987. Because of worries that India may utilize the Cray supercomputer to manufacture nuclear weapons, the US government refused to sell India one in 1988. than India began developing its own supercomputer in response, and CDACT was developed as a part of this initiative.

CDACT engaged Dr. Vijay Bhatkar as its director. The project received money equivalent to Rs. 30,000,000,000, which is the cost of a Cray supercomputer, for a three-year first run.

The Zurich Super-Computing Show in 1990 served as the standard for a prototype computer. It proved that, behind the United States, India has the second-most potent publicly displayed supercomputer worldwide.

The endeavor resulted in the 1991 introduction of the PARAM 8000.

In 2003, CDAC was formed by the merger of the National Centre for Software Technology (NCST), Electronic Research and Development Centre (ER&DC), and CEDTI.

The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC), Noida has announced Advertisement No. CORP/JIT/07/2025-ND for the recruitment of 173 contractual posts in different fields of Information, Communication Technology, and Electronics (ICT&E).

The available positions include Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, and Project Manager in domains such as Data Centre & Information Services, e-Governance, Embedded Systems, Health Informatics, Speech & Natural Language Processing and Technology & Tools Services.

(i). Project Engineer:

Qualification : BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech/Ph.D. (with 60% marks or equivalent) in Computer Science, Electronics, IT, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
Experience : 0 to 4 years

(ii). Senior Project Engineer:

Qualification : BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech/Ph.D. (with 60% marks or equivalent) in the relevant discipline.
Experience : 4 to 7 years

(iii). Project Manager:

Qualification : BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech/Ph.D. (with 60% marks or equivalent) in the relevant discipline.
Experience : 9 to 15 years

 

CDAC Noida Recruitment 2025 | Application Procedure

Applications must be submitted online through the official CDAC Careers Portal at careers.cdac.in

The registration and application steps are as follows

Step 1: Carefully read the recruitment advertisement and general terms. Confirm eligibility before submitting an online application from 1st Oct’2025.

Step 2: Select the desired post and click on the ‘Apply’ link. Log in using a mobile number and OTP. Complete the application form, and upload a recent photograph (JPG format, under 400 KB) and a resume (PDF format, under 500 KB).

Step 3: Submit the application and note the unique application number for future reference. Candidates employed in Government or PSU organizations should send a signed printout of the form to the Group Coordinator (HR), CDAC Noida, or produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) during the interview.
