The Indian Army has released the 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme (TES-54) Notification 2025 on 13th May 2025.
Applications are invited online for unmarried male candidates which will begin in January 2026. This is a Permanent Commission entry with 90 provisional vacancies.
Eligible candidates must have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at 10+2 level and must have appeared for JEE (Mains) 2025.
The application process is open from 13th May 2025 to 12th June 2025 on the official website

Indian Army 10+2 Technical Recruitment 2025 | Age Limit
Applicants should be between 16½ and 19½ years old as of 1st January 2026. This means the date of birth must fall between 2nd July 2006 and 1st July 2009, including both dates. Only the date of birth mentioned in the Matriculation or Secondary School Certificate will be accepted. No changes to this date will be allowed.
Indian Army 10+2 Technical Recruitment 2025 | Eligibility Criteria
(i). Nationality: Only unmarried male candidates can apply. They must be citizens of India, subjects of Nepal or persons of Indian origin who have come from specific countries (an eligibility certificate may be needed in such cases).
(ii). Educational Qualification: Must have passed 10+2 (12th class) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) from a recognized board with at least 60% total marks. Marks in PCM must be shown exactly up to two decimal places without rounding. Also must have appeared for JEE (Mains) 2025.
(iii). Other Conditions: Candidates must not be banned by UPSC or have any record of arrest, conviction or court cases. They must also remain unmarried until training is fully completed.
(iv). Physical Standards: Basic fitness requirements include a 2.4 km run in 10 minutes 30 seconds, 40 push-ups, 6 pull-ups, 30 sit-ups, 2 sets of 30 squats, 2 sets of 10 lunges and basic swimming skills.
Indian Army 10+2 Technical Recruitment 2025 | Training and Degree
(i). Training Duration: The training lasts for 4 years. The first 3 years will be spent at the Cadets Training Wing, followed by 1 year at the Indian Military Academy (IMA) in Dehradun.
(ii). Training Locations: The first phase of training takes place at one of the following – CME Pune, MCTE Mhow or MCEME Secunderabad. The second phase will be held at IMA Dehradun.
(iii). Engineering Streams: Training in Civil and Mechanical Engineering will be provided at Pune. Telecom and IT (Dual Degree) are taught at Mhow. Electrical and Mechanical Engineering are offered at Secunderabad.
(iv). Degree: An Engineering Degree will be awarded after successful completion of the course. A maximum of two academic failures (relegations) will be allowed.
(v). Training Cost: The cost of training is Rs. 13,940 per week (as of 2021). This will be paid by the government, but must be repaid if the candidate leaves for personal reasons.
Indian Army 10+2 Technical Recruitment 2025 | Selection Procedure
(i). Shortlisting: Applications will be selected based on the Common Rank List (CRL) of JEE (Mains) 2025. The expected cut-off will be announced in the first week of July 2025.
(ii). SSB Interview: Candidates who will be shortlisted are required to attend a 5-day Services Selection Board (SSB) interview at one of the following locations- Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru or Jalandhar, likely between August and September 2025.
The process includes two stages :
Stage I for screening
Stage II for those who qualify. No compensation will be provided for any injuries during the SSB.
(iii). Medical Examination: Candidates, recommended by the SSB will undergo a medical examination at military hospitals.
(iv). Merit List: The final merit list will be prepared only on the basis of SSB performance. Joining letters will be issued depending on available vacancies and medical fitness.
(v). Cadets Training Wings Preference: Candidates must give three preferences for Cadets Training Wings (CTWs) – Pune, Mhow, and Secunderabad. Final allocation will be done by the Indian Army and no changes can be made after that.
Indian Army 10+2 Technical Recruitment 2025 | Payout and Other Benefits
(i). Stipend during the training: During training at the Indian Military Academy (IMA), a monthly stipend of Rs. 56,100 will be provided.
(ii). Lieutenant Salary: After commissioning, the salary will be at Level 10, ranging from Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500 per month.
The total cost to company (CTC) will be around Rs. 17 to Rs. 18 lakh per year.
This includes Military Service Pay (Rs. 15,500 per month), Dress Allowance (Rs. 25,000 per year) and other allowances like Dearness, Transport, Children’s Education and Hostel Subsidy.
(iii). Insurance Coverage: During training, a life insurance cover of Rs. 15 lakh will be provided with a premium of Rs. 7,200. After receiving the stipend, the insurance cover increases to Rs. 1 crore with a monthly contribution of Rs. 10,000.
(iv). Promotions: Ranks progress from Lieutenant to General will be depending on length of service and selection process.
Indian Army 10+2 Technical Recruitment 2025 | Process to Apply
Eligible and interested candidates can fill out the online application form at joinindianarmy.nic.in from 13th May 2025 (12:00 PM) to 12th June 2025 (12:00 PM).
Step-1: All details must be entered correctly including the JEE (Mains) 2025 application number and the exact percentage in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (up to two decimal places).
Step-2: The application must be submitted after every edit. No changes can be made after the last date.
Step-3: Two copies of the completed application form should be printed (available 30 minutes after the closing time) which will include the Roll Number. One self-attested copy must be carried to the SSB interview along with the following documents-
1. Original and two self-attested copies of the Class 10th certificate or marksheet (as proof of date of birth).
2. Original and two self-attested copies of the Class 12th certificate or marksheet.
3. Original photo ID proof.
4. A copy of the JEE (Mains) 2025 result.
5. 20 passport-size photographs, self-attested.
