The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) ISRO has exciting news for young engineering graduates, welling to work on advanced space missions and be part of India’s Space Programme can apply for the position of Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’.

This is a wonderful opportunity to begin a career in space science and make significant contributions to the field.

Vacancies are basically available for Electronics, Mechanical and Computer Science disciplines only.

Note:

(i). Applications will be accepted online from 29th-April-2025 to 19th-May-2025 only

(ii). A part of the vacancies will be filled on the basis of valid GATE 2024 or GATE 2025 scores, while the remaining will be filled through written test and interview.

For confirmation, the vacancies under Scientist/Engineer are Group ‘A’ as Gazetted posts in Level 10 of the Pay Matrix of 7th Pay Commission, which ensures a rewarding and stable government career.

A total of 63 posts are open for the following categories under Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ in three engineering disciplines

(i). Electronics [Post Code: 001]: 22

(ii). Mechanical [Post Code: 002]: 33

(iii). Computer Science [Post Code: 003]: 8

 

Note: The above vacancies are located at the following ISRO Centers

• URSC and HSFC in Bengaluru

• NRSC in Hyderabad

• SAC in Ahmedabad

• SDSC SHAR in Srihari Kota

• VSSC in Thiruvananthapuram and others.

 

Educational Qualification and GATE Requirements

(i). Electronics & Communication Engineering

• BE/B.Tech or equivalent in Electronics & Communication with minimum 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10.

• GATE score in Electronics (EC) [Refer Selection Procedure for exact Gate Score Weightage]

(ii). Mechanical Engineering

• BE/B.Tech or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10.

• Valid GATE score in Mechanical (ME) [Refer Selection Procedure for exact Gate Score Weightage]

(iii). Computer Science & Engineering

• BE/B.Tech or equivalent in Computer Science with minimum 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10.

• Valid GATE score in Computer Science (CS) [Refer Selection Procedure for exact Gate Score Weightage]

 

Application Fee

(i). For All: Rs. 250.00 can be paid through BHARATKOSH using Net Banking, UPI, Debit/Credit Cards

(ii). Exempted For: Women, SC, ST, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen

 

 

Selection Procedure

Shortlisting has to be done on the basis of 1:7 ratio of GATE scores followed by interview.

(i). Interview Evaluation Parameters:

Evaluation of 100 Marks includes

• Technical Knowledge: 40 Marks

• Subject-related Awareness: 20 Marks

• Communication & Presentation Skills: 20 Marks

• Comprehension: 10 Marks

• Academic Achievements: 10 Marks

 

(ii). Final Selection Weightage%

• 50% GATE Score + 50% Interview Marks

• Minimum interview marks: 60 (General), 50 (PwBD)

 

Payout or Salary with Benefits

• Basic pay of Rs. 56,100.00 per month.
