Sad News: Former PM Manmohan Singh passed away
Manmohan Singh the former prime minister of India deceased on Thursday at AIIMS Delhi at the age of 92.
After a sudden decline in his state of health he was admitted in AIIMS for medical treatment at 8:06 p.m.
At 9:51 p.m. he was diagnosed dead despite the efforts of the doctors.

AIIMS media cell in-charge Dr. Reema Dada announced the death of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh at 92, following treatment for age-related issues. He lost consciousness at home on December 26, was brought to AIIMS, but despite efforts, he was declared dead at 9:51 pm.
Besides that, Manmohan Singh worked as the South Commission’s secretary general
If we talk about his experience, He taught at Punjab University and Delhi School of Economics, showcasing academic excellence, while also working at UNCTAD Secretariat . This experience led to his appointment as Secretary General of the South Commission in Geneva.

Most Educated Prime Minister

Manmohan Singh was India’s most educated Prime Minister. He was a distinguished economist and the first minority to hold the position of PM of India. He was Finance Minister during the liberalization era starting in 1991 and led the UPA government from 2004 to 2014.
Serving a decade in power as Global leaders, including Barack Obama admired his economic expertise.

He matriculated from Punjab University in 1948 and studied at Cambridge, earning a first class honors degree in economics in 1957. He completed his D. Phil in 1962 from Oxford, criticizing India’s export-based trade policy in his book.
