Indian armed forces destroyed 9 terrorist camps in Pakistan, Explained with images

Wednesday, 7th-May-2025 around 01:00 AM, After the cowardice and brutal terror attack on April 22 in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian armed forces struck back by destroying nine terrorist camps located in Pakistan and areas controlled by Pakistan through well planned strategy.

This military effort was called Operation Sindoor. Wing Commander Vyomika Singh from the Indian Air Force, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi of the Indian Army and Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri informed the country about the details of these missile strikes.

The Indian intelligence agency RAW had identified 21 terrorist camps in Pakistan for attack. However, the Indian government and the Indian armed forces selected 9 terrorist camps under Operation Sindoor.

Details of the 9 terror camps with images

(i). Markaz Taiba Camp (Muridke, Pakistan)

Colonel Qureshi said that this camp was located 25 kilometers away from the international border. This was the main headquarters of the terrorist group Lashkar e Taiba.

She also said that the main culprits of the 2008 Mumbai attacks were trained in this camp. This included Ajmal Kasab who was the only gunman caught alive after the attack on India’s financial hub Mumbai.

 

(ii). Markaz Subhan Allah Camp (Bahawalpur, Pakistan)

This camp was located around 100 km away from the international border, served as the main headquarters for the Islamist group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).

Colonel Qureshi mentioned that the camp’s purpose was for recruiting new members, providing them with training and teaching them the organization’s beliefs and ideology.

 

(iii). Mehmoona Joya Camp (Sialkot, Pakistan)

This camp served as a training center for the terrorist group known as Hizbul Mujahideen. It was situated just 12 kilometers from the border and was making as strategically placed for their activities.

(iv). Kotli Gulpur Camp (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir)

The Indian government reports that this camp was 30 kilometers from the border and belonged to Lashkar.

Zaki ur Rehman Lakhvi is known as the planner of the 2008 Mumbai attack who frequently visited this camp. His visits were to provide “education and motivational speeches” to those present.

 

(v). Sarjal Camp (Sialkot, Pakistan)

This is the place where the attackers who caused the tragedy in Jammu and Kashmir were trained. During that tragic event in March, four brave policemen were killed. This training camp was located 6 kilometers within the borders of Pakistan.

 

(vi). Abbas Camp (Kotli, Pakistan Occupied Kashmir)

This camp is 13 kilometers from the Line of Control. It was considered a training site for Lashkar-e-Taiba, where they prepared people to carry out suicide bombing missions.

 

(vii). Syed Na Bilal Camp (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir)

The Indian government has stated that the Jaish-e-Mohammed camp was a place where individuals were trained to use weapons and explosives. At this camp, terrorists were taught skills needed to survive and perform “terrorist activities” in the Kashmir region.

 

(viii). Sawai Nala Camp

The camp was located approximately 30 kilometers from the Line of Control and was an important place for training by the group Lashkar-e-Taiba. It played a major role in their operations.

(ix). Barnala Camp (Bhimber, Pakistan Occupied Kashmir)

Colonel Sofia Qureshi explained that the facility was a training ground for terrorists. There they learned to use weapons, make explosives and survive in the jungle environment. This place was situated around 9 kilometers from the Line of Control (LoC).
